I'm Bench, the original creator of DayZ Nerd Squad, and Bench Bot.
This wasn't built to make a quick buck. It was built because I got tired of watching people take advantage of others in this community.
The moment that pushed me to start all of this was seeing someone sell a DayZ build for $425; a build I knew I could recreate in less than three minutes. That wasn't innovation; it was taking advantage of people who simply didn't know any better. I knew there had to be a better way.
That wasn't innovation; it was taking advantage of people who simply didn't know any better.
So I created DayZ Nerd Squad.
My goal has always been simple: provide as much knowledge, assistance, and support as possible for FREE. Whether you're opening DayZ Editor for the first time, trying to understand JSON, learning to mod, building a server, or you're a veteran looking to sharpen your skills, this community is for you.
I believe knowledge should be shared, not hidden behind paywalls or overpriced services. The more people who understand how DayZ works, the better the community becomes. Better servers. Better creators. Better experiences for everyone.
DayZ Nerd Squad is more than a Discord server or a bot. It's a community built around helping one another, teaching without expecting something in return, and creating an environment where beginners feel welcome and experienced creators have a place to share what they've learned.
None of us know everything, and that's exactly why we're here; to learn from each other, solve problems together, and continue pushing the DayZ modding community forward.
If you've ever learned something from Nerd Squad, taught someone else, or simply stopped by to ask a question, then you've already become part of what this community stands for.
Thanks again, and let's build something worth sharing.
